Baskin-Robbins Goes Vegan With New Ice Cream Flavor

The popular ice cream chain Baskin-Robbins first pioneered vegan ice cream at their shops in 2019 with two coconut and almond-based flavors, ‘Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough’ and ‘Chocolate Extreme’, as well as their ‘Vegan Coffee Caramel Chunk’ flavor. However, they’ve since been rolling out fresh plant-based flavors like hotcakes!

Among their newest vegan-friendly additions are their May Flavor of the Month ‘Non-Dairy Strawberry Streusel’ ice cream, and their most recent, a rich and creamy flavor called ‘Non-Dairy Salted Fudge Bar’! This new ice cream was announced earlier this month (August 2021), and is made with creamy dark chocolate oat milk, fudge pieces, and a smooth, indulgent fudge ribbon. Yum!

“Non-Dairy Salted Fudge Bar brings a chocolate lovers dream to a non-dairy scoop by swirling a smooth fudge ribbon into salted dark chocolate oatmilk flavor with gooey fudge pieces throughout. Each bite of this rich flavor packs a punch of indulgence with melt-in-your-mouth creaminess from the oatmilk-base that makes it the greatest thing since ice cream,” shared the brand in a recent press release.

Although this new flavor is generally suitable for vegans, it is not considered safe for those with milk allergies. This is due to the fact that the company cannot guarantee that cross-contamination will not occur, as their employees do handle dairy.
