While you may know Pamela Anderson, actress and model from classic television series and movies like “Baywatch”, “Scary Movie”, and “Barb Wire”, she is also well-known in the vegan community for her incredible work as a vegan activist. This time around, she’s partnered up with Ashoka Paris to launch a 100% cruelty-free, vegan apple leather handbag line! You may be familiar with this brand, as they won the Peta Award 2018 for “best vegan bag”. Pamela Anderson, having won the Peta Award for “Personality of The Year” the same year, was a clear match!

The gorgeous luxury line of handbags, designed by Pamela herself and designer David Mateo, currently features two different styles, the Pamela Pouch (retails for €230), and the Pamela Box (€270). Each is available in four different colors: nude, black, terracotta, and red. The Pamela Box handbag features a message from Anderson: “RESIST! Inside every beautiful person is an activist wanting to defend the planet.” on the inside of the flap.

Ashoka Paris’ mission, as stated on their website, is to create high-end, ethical, ecoresponsible, vegan leather goods, manufactured in innovative materials that are not of animal origin. Their vast collection includes backpacks, shopping bags, wallets, belts, and other leather goods, for both men and women.

On the Ashoka Paris website, the brand has made the following statement: “A portion of the sales from the collection will go to the Pamela Anderson Foundation. Ashoka Paris also donates part of its profits to animal protection associations.” Not a bad excuse to treat yourself to a beautiful high-quality vegan accessory!
