Vegan French Toast

Equipment

  • Pan
  • Stovetop
  • Blender or food processor
  • Medium bowl

Ingredients

  • 250 g Baguette stale, slices
  • 0.5 cup Silken tofu
  • 0.75 cup Soy milk vanilla, sweetened
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 units Dates
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon ground
  • 0.5 tsp Cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp Grapeseed oil
  • 1 tbsp Maple syrup

Instructions

  • Begin heating your pan. Add tofu, soy milk (cold), salt, cinnamon, and cornstarch to a blender. Blend until completely smooth.
  • Once the pan is hot, grease with grapeseed oil, and dip the slices of stale bread in your tofu mixture. Then, immediately place each slice in the pan, and cook on each side until golden brown.
  • Serve with maple syrup.
