Vegan Basil Pesto Recipe - 6 ingredients

Pesto is one of those dreamy sauces that work on anything! Whether you're in the mood for a warm, toasty baguette, pasta, or a salad, pesto will add the flavor and nutrients you need to turn it into a meal.

We wanted to create a versatile plant-based pesto sauce that anyone can make at home! So, we made a few adjustments to the traditional recipe. Instead of parmesan, we used nutritional yeast (If you haven't heard of it, you need to look it up ASAP - it has so many health benefits and nutrients; even vitamin B-12!). We also replaced the pine nuts with walnuts!

After blending with garlic cloves, salt, basil, olive oil, and water, the result was a super creamy, fresh pesto sauce that we love to enjoy on fresh baguette slices, and over pasta.
